This
Training Page has been designed to
provide you with information about
the training courses offered by
Governor's
Office Of Homeland
Security & Emergency Preparedness
(GOHSEP). These
courses, developed and funded by the Federal
Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
are offered on a tuition free basis and
conducted by the training division of the State
office for elected and appointed officials from all
levels of government, emergency services personnel,
fire service and law enforcement personnel,
representatives from business and industry and
related private sector volunteer organizations and
others with responsibility for emergency
preparedness activities.
The courses are
generally available though GOHSEP, but not all
courses are offered every year.
Course schedules, listing dates and
locations of currently available
courses, will be sent annually to
local emergency management
directors. You should be able to
obtain a copy by contacting your
local emergency management
coordinator or the Governor's
Office Of Homeland
Security & Emergency Preparedness.
The State selects
applicants for courses without regard to race,
color, religion, sex, national origin, handicap or
age. All agencies nominating or approving applicants
to attend courses shall comply with Title VI of the
Civil Rights Act of 1964; Section 50q of the
Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended; The Age
Discrimination Act of 1975; and regulations
promulgated thereunder.
