The City of New Orleans’ Office of Recovery is making a final attempt to contact several residents enrolled in the FEMA 404 Hazard Mitigation Program for pilot reconstruction and elevation projects on residential properties.  After repeated efforts to contact all participants, the Recovery Office has been unable to reach ten residents due to missing or outdated contact information.  Immediate responses are needed from the following residents:

David Gilbert, 5604 Painters St., New Orleans, LA 70122

Regina Harris, 2512 Dorgenois St., New Orleans, LA 70125

John Hitchens, 4639 Willow St., New Orleans, LA 70115

Rosa Mae Chapman, 120 Portage Place, New Orleans, LA 70119

Robert Johnson, Jr., 3628 Leonidas St., New Orleans, LA 70118

By Friday, January 18, 2008, the above-listed residents must respond to the City’s Recovery Office with updated contact information and confirmation of interest in remaining in the Hazard Mitigation Program.  Any resident who does not respond by January 18, 2008 will be removed from the program.

Some residents (those eligible for pilot reconstruction) are also required to submit signed Voluntary Participation Statements (available by request) to the Recovery Office by January 18, 2008.  The Recovery Office strongly encourages anyone who knows any of the residents listed above to offer assistance by contacting the individual(s) directly or by providing the Recovery Office with up-to-date contact information.  To respond, please contact Danielle Purifoy or Dr. Earthea Nance by phone, fax, or email:
