In coordination with the Federal Office of Homeland Security, Louisiana adopts the Homeland Security Advisory System, which characterizes appropriate levels of vigilance, preparedness and readiness in a series of graduated Threat Conditions. Do you know today's threat level?

The Protective Measures that correspond to each Threat Condition will help the government and citizens decide what action they take to help counter and respond to terrorist activity.  Based on the threat level, state and local agencies, business and industry, and the citizens of the state of Louisiana should implement appropriate Protective Measures.
